How to Make Homemade Oat Milk. Easy to make Plant-Based Milk Recipe

1 serving, 5 minutes

plant-based milk, vegan, gluten-free

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup Rolled oats (Gluten-Free)

  2. 4 cups Filter water

  3. 1-2 Medjool dates or 1-2 tbsp Maple syrup

Preparation

  1. Soak the oats in water, place in the fridge for at least 30 mins. I prefer to soak them, although you don’t have to.

  2. Add in oats, 4 cups of water, and Medjool dates and /or maple syrup to a blender. (please note the amount of Medjool dates and/or maple syrup that you add in will depend on how sweet you will like your oat milk.)

  3. Strain with cheesecloth, strainer with napkin/paper towel, or nut bag. (please note when using a paper towel or napkin place a strainer underneath over a bowl just increase the napkin breaks. I would prefer to use cheesecloth when making homemade oat milk, but I didn’t have one while I was filming this video in quarantine )

  4. Store in an airtight glass jar. Stays up to 5 days in the fridge.
